My wife let me know this morning that her horn does not work. I press the Horn and I can hear a click in the dash but I do not hear anything. If I hear the Dash clicking I am thinking the relay is working so it has something to do with the wiring to the horn, am I right on my asumption?
The horns that come in the EX and for that matter in a lot of Fords are junk. If water gets into them they corrode and quit working. They're cheap to buy but a pain to get to because they're located below the passenger side battery behind the headlight. You have to pull the inner fender to get to them. I've temporarily moved mine to the inside of the engine compartment near the battery. I'm looking for a different set of horns, preferably more comparable to the size of the vehicle they're announcing. Someone wrote you might be able to fix them by spraying WD-40 in the dead horns.
Good luck.
Kapusta, Thanks for the help. I found that the fuse was blown in the engine Compartment #14 when I put a new one on the Horn was weak and killed the fuse. Undid the Inner fender pulled the old one out and mounted a Wolo Sonic Blast set from Autozone behind the Grill. Wife was happy!
