Hey everybody,
According to the paint code on my data plate (8S) my truck is light blue and bright dark blue which seems to be correct by looking at it with my untrained eye. Would anybody happen to have the actual Ford, Dupont, PPG, etc. paint codes/numbers for the 8S paint code? I'm trying to get reference numbers for my paint guy. Also, while removing trim for an upcoming rust repair and repaint I found a jacked up paint job underneath (see pic). Would this really have left the factory like this? Even in 77? It's not like it bothered me...I never saw it until I removed the trim. Just seems odd that they'd let it roll out like that.
Might've been a body shop that did that. Look on that panel for signs of paint which doesn't match, or paint which is degrading differently than what's on the rest of the truck.
My all Bright Dark Blue Metallic truck is coded "S." I'm thinking that the 8 is going to be for the light blue.

I'm assuming you wanted to write "anything for an FTE brother"....your translator failed you my friend. It actually says "nothing for an FTE brother". It's all good though, I figured it out. Thanks again!
Oh shenanigans, dang Google translator failed me. Sorry, but as long as you got or understood the welcome to FTE part. I will keep it simple.
“ein Prost!”
