Transmission cooler line replacement
Hey guys, so one of my transmission cooler lines on my 2002 F-150 from the driver side of the aux. cooler to the radiator is extremely rusty and I’m planning on replacing it before winter. Ordered the Dorman 624-206 replacement line and it arrived last week. Dorman says it’s a direct factory fit. My main issue is the fitting on the new part is a 5/8 wrench and the old fitting on the truck is a 7/8. Has anyone replaced these before? If so do you know if this is common for the replacement part to have a smaller bolt head but same size threads on the fitting? I’m afraid if I take the old one off first because it’s so rusty it will snap in half in the process and I’ll be stuck searching for the correct part if the threads end up not being the same.
