Yes she is fine too. If I wouldn't have veered to the right I would have t-boned her. She apologized about 10 times. It is what it is.
I feel better knowing the 79 will run. I won't drop the fuel tank till next weekend. New fuel pump should be in on Tuesday.
All the front suspension parts came in for the Benz yesterday. Not a high priority right this second. The passenger side front rim has a small bend in it and a small leak, have to add air every 2 or 3 days. Once I get that replaced that should end the low tire pressure warning light coming on.
My yard is looking empty. The motorhome is still at work and now the truck is now gone. Seems really strange. I got the accident report this morning and uploaded it to my insurance company, USAA is very fast on getting stuff done. I had to remind them I was not at fault for this.
Weather forecast is showing rain this weekend so I may try and do a little work here and there to get the tank dropped out before the weekend. Shouldn't take me too long to get it out since it was out maybe 2 years ago. My son in-law is running the trash to the dump for me tomorrow so I am good for a little while.
Chief it sounds like the rings could be sticking making the starter draw more amps to turn it over. It wouldn't hurt to pull the plugs and put marvel mystery oil in each cylinder and let it soak for a day or 2. Don't want to break a ring. What size engine, 302?
htuner12 I'm glad you found some land. 5 acres is about all anyone needs. It's hard on me to keep up with the acre I maintain. The other 19 acres is just hardwood trees. And my 1/2 acre recreation lot on the River, I just pay a local lawn service to cut it. Paid my son to clean the gutters and trim the tree limbs back off the house, yesterday. I heard some loud bangs on the roof a couple of times. I hope he didn't cause any leaks.
It has a 351M in it. It's turning free, think it was rust on the starter and the battery I was using was pretty much dead.
We have 10 acres and it's a bear to maintain sometimes.
Well this most be old people wreck week. Not involved in the accident we were coming back from Macon on hwy 80 Just outside Roberta. We passed a car up the bank wrapped around a tree. A young couple was running up the road the flagged me down. They were behind the car. I stopped got to the car the was a gentleman in his 70 laying crossways leaning up against the passenger door . Got the driver door open the man was conscious but in coherent. Aft first blood was bubbling out of his mouth the gushing and his breathing got labored. all I could do was try and keep him still till EMS got there and relay condition to 911 thru the young couple. There were no skid marks. Apparently, he was not wearing his seatbelt. EMs had light and sirens on leaving. I pray the man is ok.
Don't know what the outcome is with the Dodge yet.The wife and I talked it over and no matter the outcome we are fixing the 79. I need to get her late daddy's truck running again anyway. I dropped the tank tonight and it was bad, real bad so I ordered a new tank, sending unit and a carb. A new fuel pump is already on the way. Going to blow out the fuel lines and replace any rubber fuel line in the system. The fuel system is going to be new from back to front.

THis piece was logged a year ago just before the developed it. So clearing will not be bad. The 8 I just sold in Monticello was heavy wood and brush. (It was mine and ex wifes. Debra and I want a fresh start with no memories for either of us)

I know, I know. My wife said the same thing last night. I'll look at it next weekend has been over a year now. Once I get it running again I want to change out the front brakes and rotors, they pulsed really bad before it broke down. I already have the front pads sitting in the truck

Hey y'all, finally got around to downloading pictures from my phone. Most of y'all know my 95 F-350 7.3 Powerstroke. the 01 F-250 is a 7.3 Powerstroke also, my son decided to retire it from his tree service so I got a good deal on it since it didn't cost me a dime.
A free toy is always nice!
Pulled the tag off the Dodge yesterday. I looked a the damage again while I was there. It's totally fixable but if a body shop does it I am 99% percent sure with parts and labor they are going to total it. The new fuel pump came in yesterday for the 79. I am going to pick up a new battery today.
Paid my tag fees this morning, wasn't too bad at $217.00. Tag for the Dodge is due in January since it's under the wife's name. Plenty of time to figure out what the outcome is going to be.
