Good morning folks. I recently ordered a 2021 F350, 6.7, CC, LB, Platinum and was curious about the Ford Premium Maintenance Plan. I went to the Flood Ford site and pricing for bringing it in every 7500 miles, up to 8 years/150k miles is $6025 for the state of Arizona. This would give me 20 visits. In essence I would be paying around $300 a visit. I have read the brochure and seen what all it covers. Would someone be able to tell me a ballpark figure on what I would expect to pay out of pocket, for all of the things the maintenance plan covers, if I did not buy it?
*Please forgive me as I am new to this forum. I am coming from a 2011 Chevy Silverado and used to tell my family that we are not a "Ford" family. Flash forward a few years and here I am. I want to thank you all for the knowledge that you have passed on, as I have learned a lot. I did do a cursory search, but did not see anything relevant.
I've been seriously considering the same plan. The way I understand it, it basically covers everything except tires. Oil changes, fuel filter changes, tire rotations, belts, air filters, trans flushes, coolant flushes, wipers, shocks, brake pads, they fill fill the DEF and windshield wiper fluid for you at your visit, and grease anything that needs it. I'd really like to hear from some people that have it, that would contest any of my understanding so I get a true picture - ie "the fine print says not on a diesel" - just so I really know what I'm getting myself into. Other than that, the other benefit I see, is I'm not going around town using my time to get oil, filters, lubes, etc, then laying on the ground doing it myself. Don't get me wrong - I love to tinker and do my own maintenance, however this is my going to be my first brand new vehicle ever and truthfully a lot of the electronics scare me. Besides, I've got plenty of other projects to keep me busy.
empire_designs, they do offer a maintenance plan for the diesels. The one I quoted is specifically for diesels and looks to be $3000 more than the plan for a gasoline vehicle. I am hoping that someone who has purchased this can chime in and tell us what they think about it. Or those that didn't buy it can tell us their reasons for not purchasing it.
What if your change oil reminder comes on before 7500 miles?
the way I understand it, it’s a quantity of services over a certain period of time that divides out to 7500 mile intervals, not necessarily held to be completed only every 7500 miles. Ie, 20 services in 150k miles. You could theoretically use the 20 services in 100k miles

This is my understanding as well. With that said, I'm not convinced my dealer would use genuine OEM parts. I've seen them use alternators from autozone as well as green coolant that was orange from the factory. Because of this, I'd rather not pay for premium maintenance and receive non-OEM parts.
Do the math. It's about $100 to buy Synthetic oil and filter every 7500 miles or 20 x = $2000
Air and Fuel Filters are $100 and if you change those every other oil change you are 10 x = $1000
I doubt you get a full tank of DEF each time in. Sometimes it'll be 1/2 tank, some times 1/4 But even if you put in $10 of def each time in 20 x $10 = $200
Coolant flush at 100,000 miles is $400 So you will get that once during your plan
Maybe you also get a Tranny flush once during the plan $500
You will have to figure out what wipers, tire rotation etc are worth to you along with the time it saves your to do the oil changes. For me it doesn't save anytime, Since I end up sitting in the waiting room.
I'm sure I've missed some of the little things they include in the maintenance. Filling the battery with water, filling the windshield washer.
The few times I've been into dealer ( usually when there is 6" of snow on driveway) "The Works" package seems to be $139 Which is oil change, tire rotations, fill minor fluids but no fuel or air filters. And it seems like I got every 5th one free. I don't know if that program is still around.
I got the maintenance plan on my last truck (13 F150) for $5 over the dealer cost/invoice of the plan. I Bought the truck on New Years Eve and they were doing crazy deals on everything. The sales guy showed me the cost of “the works” oil changes and it was about breaking even with that alone. But it also covers Everything in the maintenance schedule.
So when I went in to buy the F250 I asked for the same deal. Initially they refused saying that was a one time deal. I told them that they could either give me the deal, make $5, and get my business and all follow on maintenance & service, or I would buy the plan online and take it to the dealership closer to my house. He rolled his eyes and said Fine.
I go in whenever the light turns on for service. I have to remind them of what maintenance is supposed to be done at each interval such as changing the fuel filters at 36k. I did the math when I first bought the truck and it wasn’t as clear cut of a deal as what I paid for it on the last truck, but I was still coming out about even when all coats of doing the maintenance myself was factored in.
