I have a 1993 f150 5.8 my dipstick tube broke so I went off to the junk yard and all I could find is the yellow handled dipstick from another f150 5.8 but they seem to be different length because the dipstick I have that came with it is longer. Do they read the same level?
You should be able to lay the broke tube & piece side by side with the newer tube (with it's stick) & see if the ends go the same distance into the block.
Just make SURE that it's a 5.8 tube because a 5.0 is decidedly different.

wish I hadn’t thrown that out in the trash lol thanks for the reply
some of the 5.8 dipstick tubes pushed in to the block, others threaded in to the oil pan. Im pretty sure Jeff's bronco Graveyard sells new sticks and tubs for both types of install.
