Time after time my truck has hauled unbelieveable amounts of crap while remaining presentable and comfortable for hauling the family.16 years and 250k miles and it's done everything I've asked it to. If GM can bring back the hummer, Ford can bring back the excursion.
Today's haul was 24x 4x4x10', 32 2x4x10', and 390 pressure treated fence pickets. Unloaded and dusted it out and looked like new. The interior is really unbelieveably durable.
I've loved this truck for the past 15 years, and I'll love it for 15 more.
Ours was in a wreck 3 years ago, we've really missed it. I took last week off to finish it. We just have some small things left, but it's usable now. I can't wait to get to take it for a nice ride. They are awesome vehicles!
Every Thanksgiving weekend, four of us and a dog make the trek for 2 Christmas trees. I never tire of seeing the look of incredulity when I ask the tree folks to just "put them in the back."
OP’s story got me tears eyed. Back in early 2000, my wife and I test drove a Honda Odyssey and the Ex. After 21 years and many stories later, the choice we made, made a big difference. When I think of those stories, they could have not come about without the help of the “Big Green Party Bus” as my wife affectionately calls it.
There isn’t a load my ex hauls for me that I don’t remark to myself and others how much I love my station wagon ❤️
The last one that surprised my buddy was trip to home depot that fit 6 50lb bags of ice melt, 6 bundles of insulation, a 6ft step ladder and some other randoms. I wasn’t surprised but that same feeling of love for an inanimate object was still there.
