vacuum tree

I have an 88 bronco 5.8 liter. I had some repairs done, and along with stealing my radar dectector the repairman left a guage on one of the vacuum lines coming off the vacuum tree, on top of the motor. I cant find where the other end of this line is and have capped it off with a bolt. Any suggestions? A description on where each of those lines go to would be helpful.

Of the three individual lines, one runs across to the brake booster (you would know if that one wasn't hooked up) the second runs to the cruise control motor (at least I'm fairly certain thats what it is) on the driver's inner fender. And the third (small one) provides vacuum to the heater & A/C controls between the bulkhead and the upper intake plenum. The other lines are (or at least I am assuming they are the same as four years later) bundled together and fit the tree in a three port connector.

Hoping we are talking about the same vacuum tree here, nested between the runners in the upper intake plenum.

BTW, if he stole your radar detector, keep his vacuum gauge.

I have the exact same truck and year...is the unhooked line a colored one or is it black?? I can take a digicam pic and send it to you if you'd like.
