Need help w/acceleration problem

My 1993, 351w, fully stock other than 33" tires, 95K miles, is having acceleration problems. It feels like I'm dragging an anchor when I step on the gas.

Did a complete tune up. New plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, new K&N drop in, PCV. Old plugs looked good so I'm pretty sure ignition is OK. I do need to check the base timing however.

With KOEO I hear the fuel pump whirl for a second or so but I have 0 PSI at the rail. I crank her up which by the way I have to crank her for a while before she catches. Once running, idle or 3000RPM, I have 30-32 PSI fuel at the rail. Do I need a new pump?

Found a posting here about clogged cats and I checked my intake vaccuum as suggested. My vaccuum dropped from about 19-20 at idle to 15-16 at 2500RPM. All the vaccuum lines are in good shape and properly routed. Sound like bad cat?

I pulled the codes the other day and I got 334 KOEO which I believe is EGR position sensor above closed limit. I'm not sure if this means the sensor is bad or the valve is not in the proper position.

As always, I appreciate any tips. Great forum, can't count the times I used info found here.

If you EVER have 0 PSI at the fuel rail, check into either the pump and/or the filter. Even after the truck has been shut down for a while there should be a good deal of pressure in the fuel system. Once you have nailed down that problem, recheck the other things. Fuel injectors don't really "inject" at all, they are electronic metering valves that open for a precise interval. Wihtout enough fuel pressure behind it, the fuel doesn't atomize properly when the injector opens.
