Tire Inflation Pressure
I'm getting new shoes for the P-100 tomorrow. 700-15 Load Range D (8 ply). I would have preferred a C load range but for some reason tires I used to be able to get at any tire shop anytime just aren't available anymore. I must be getting old. Does anyone have a copy of a 66 F-100 manual they could post or e-mail the tire info from? I'm probably going to start with 45 psi and see how that rides, looks. 60 is the max listed for the DeeStones I'm getting, but more isn't necessarily better on everything. Thanks for any help or comments any one can offer. John

I never go by specs except for max if I'm hauling heavy. It's generally trial and error. I run them as soft as I can without showing uneven wear. If yours is going to run light , I'd start with 35 and see how she looks and rides.

Ended up with 45 in steer, 50 in drives. Lightly loaded they look OK and ride and handle good. This old girl gives me that old time feeling- Bias ply's. three on tree and no power steering or brakes. Makes feel like I'm 18 again! John
