Hi all have not been here in awhile. Last issue was back firing on my 77 351C. Ended up being bad ign system . Any way on to new problem. 77 f150 351c, np435, np205, 2pc rear dr. shaft.
I've had the truck almost 5 yrs., last mo it acted like the clutch would not release. jumping out of 3rd gear, lots of vibration in all gears, I got it home just as it completely locked u-p. clutch will not release with it in any gear. have disassembled trans, got a rebuild kit ,bearings ,seals gaskets. On tear down ,could not find reason for noises, clutch still had life in it. replaced clutch, rebuilt trans, installed and SAME THING. CLUTCH DOES NOT RELEASE, CAN NOT SHIFT IN ANY GEAR, TRY TO START IN GEARTRUCK JUMPS LIKE I NO PUSH IN CLUTCH.
Any thoughts, I am at end of my rope. Got to be something stupid, been master tech 35 years. Please help
New throw out bearing on the re build?
Verified all the gears would go in and out after the rebuild?
Bent clutch fork?
Pilot bearing in the crank worn out?
Z-Bar hanging up? If the motor mounts go the Z-Bar is attached on one side to the bell housing and could put it into a bind.
