I could not get the hood completely open but the engine looked complete with air cleaner and everything. I looked at the heads and they were larger than the smaller flathead. I had a '50 F-7 firetruck that I used for the cab, it had the big engine with only 3,000, this truck looked just like that. The real killer is that a scrap dealer bought it. I heard him earlier in the day telling his buddy that it would be a great project to have around. I didn't ask him what he was going to do with it because scrap dealers make my skin crawl, I've seen them buy up good stuff at auctions just to cut it up for scrap iron.
