Hey guys. I know this topic is beat to death and I should probably have done extreme extensive research before starting a new thread. I was hoping to get a little input and suggestions.
Due to the failing alternator in my brother's '88 Bronco, he's decided he wants to do the 3G conversion. We went to the pick a part yard and sourced a 3G harness (pictured below). We had also initially assumed we needed the bracket too, since I had wanted to use a truck alternator. However, when we started removing the bracket we discovered that not only was the factory truck bracket vastly different than what is in the '88, there was an extra idler too.
So, does anyone have any suggestions as to which alternator we should purchase from the parts store? I know it's gotta be for a different make/model but I'm hoping we can source one that will mount up to the existing bracket.
