I scored an alternator bracket off a '67 F150 to tidy up the engine bay. Plus with the factory bracket when I had to replace the alternator I ended up having to remove all but one of the bracket mounting bolts and tilt it forward to get the long bolt to clear the manifolds. Now there's a nut on the back side and the bolt's in front. Pretty sweet...

I have the same one you had above, and after the EFI manifold conversion, the bolt for the alternator wouldn't come all the way out (causing me to have to remove the entire alternator bracket to get the alternator out.)
Plus, it wouldn't have the extra armature for the smog pump. Nice!
