"what did I forget"........ get the A/C checked, buy two quarts of oil, fill the tank and enjoy the trip.

Thumbs up Man thats like a new vehicle ... low miles

I say fire it up and blast your way down here, check thermostat with the humidity down here I have found they like to heat up if the temps get in the 90's but the forcast for central florida is all middle to low 80's for the next 10 days or so, high 50's to mid 60's in different areas for lows at night

Unless you have been having problems with the transmission I would not be that concerned about it just make sure your fluid level is good and fluid doesn't look like dirt (LOL)

94,000 is like a new vehicle --- is low miles for these tanks --- ohhh I would check radiator fluid condition and level. All of these are minor things -- The weather is nice, what the hell if you do have any problems (NOT) just bring a travel tool box their junk yards and auto parts stores all over down here.

Look forward to having another visitor to the great state of florida, the only state in the Union to be the cause of a person being elected (P)resident of the White house and United States by what should be considered unlegal means.\\

Ohh well have fun trip ..

Ever had it quit on you on a hot, hot day and then leave it 20 mins and then it runs again? If so then you might want to replace the fuel pump. Classic symptoms of an old Aerostar fuel pump working too hard and shutting itself down so it won't overheat and explode your gas tank (and you, too!) I would recommend letting your wife know that if it quits on her to loosen the gas cap and to keep cool gas in the tank.

BTW - not likely to happen at this time of the year. But something to keep in mind.

Second thoughts:
When we traveled cross country with kids, we found one of those small TV/VCR combos that operate on either 12v or 120v to be invaluable. We did long hauls of 10-12 hours a day and if their behaviour was acceptable, they could use it to watch movies during specified times.

The backs of our seats have that heavy, wooly surface. We put Velcro tabs on the bottom of the TV/VCR and would fold down the middle seat to use as a TV and snack table while they all watched from the rear seat.
