The wipers do two wierd things..
1 THEY press real hard on the windshield
2 They have a short stroke and when you adjust for full
sweep they lose their position and the sweep becomes crazy?
thanks in advance
sarkis
Sounds to me like you have two problems. First, the windshield wipers arms have been bent, thereby pressing too hard on the windshield.
Secondly, on the short stroke, I believe the windshield wiper linkage is a continuous mechanical linkage that connects to the windshield wiper motor with a plastic keeper. If this plastic keeper becomes worn or broken, the operation can become sloppy. Check the wiper linkage.
BTW, how did you "adjust for full sweep?" Did you take the wipers off and move them on the spindle? If so, this is where your crazy sweep came from, reposition the wipers back to their original positions and check the linkage.
