The image from my backup camera on my new F350 seems sort of, well, washed out. I went back to the dealership and we checked another F350 and and F150 and they were both sort of the same.
Is this low-contract, washed out look, standard Ford? My last non-Ford was very clear--like what you'd expect; nice and contrasty, crisp. This one is soft and blown-out, sort of.
Hmmm..... My 2016 F250 was the first vehicle I had with a backup camera and it was good. No problem backing up to our 16' utility trailer, first shot. Looks better than my wife's 2014 Explorer camera.
2019 F250 looks about the same as the 2016. No issues thus far for me.
I just had both my front and rear cameras replaced. There definitely was some type of water intrusion.....night and day difference. I had mine done under warranty.

Low quality (cheap) parts on these camera systems it seems. My rear fogged before 30k and was replaced. Just had front replaced at 37k under extended warranty. It's common.
