Need some help fellas plz. Both my driver and passenger side doors were pretty lose. So i replaced the striker bolts on the driver side first and now the damn thing is closed and latched so tight that i cannot open the door from the inside or outside. I put the plate right back where the other one was. Without taking the driver side quarter panel off, i have no idea how to get the latch to release to get the door to open. Any help is really appreciated.
When posting give the year and model of your truck. If it was my truck I would take the seat out and take the inside panel off the door. You may be able to force the latch open with a bar of some sort. You didn't say wether the lock mechanism works which may be part of the problem. I would some how use a come along with a 2x4 or something to pull the door towards the inside of the cab to take pressure off of the latch mechanism. I don't have any great ideas to help you out of this one.

Loose how? Would the doors drop down when you opened them? If so that would mean that the hinges are worn out and needed replacement. Maybe the latch is releasing but is stuck on the striker pin?
If the latch is just set up too tight, you could try pushing the door against the cab from the outside to see if reducing the load on the latch will let you push the button and make it disengage. Or have someone push on the outside while you pull the inside handle.
