You might wanna try doing the unofficial 3.4 update you can get the files on the web with a quick google search. Did it on my 17 expy and my 16 escape and you will get the 2020 maps this way also.
Mines at the dealer now for the second time for a Sync issue. Sometimes my screen will just say "loading" and not respond.
My 17 did this. Dealer replaced the APIM under warranty. Started again about 6 months later. Doing a reset (holding the power button and fast forward) fixes it temporarily.

Great, so no real fix? The dealer is still waiting to hear from Ford on how to proceed. I have Premium ESP till 2025!
The current SYNC 3 system, which rolled out in the 2016 F150 and then to the new SD“s, is not a Microsoft product.
SYNC 3 is Blackberry based.
The last SYNC system that was Microsoft was SYNC 2 or MFT which was used on 2016 and older SD‘s and 2015 and older F150‘s.
Well, I stand corrected then. My wife's 2014 Explorer and my 2016 F250 that I just traded were both Microsoft based Sync2 systems. Glad Ford moved away from Microsoft.

They might have a fix now, but I don't know. I don't ever remember it happening on Sync 2.2 and it started when I upgraded to 3.0. That and the fact that it goes away with a reset tells me its a software issue and not a hardware one.
I'm usually on CarPlay when I'm in the truck, so I honestly don't notice it much anymore.
