Crankshaft Position Sensor location

Can someone tell me where to find the CPS on my 2017 Super Duty diesel? I've seen some say under the compressor in the serpentine belt area...and also have heard it is in the transmission housing area. Can someone confirm? Thanks in advance.

which engine? Apparently I missed where you said diesel.

On the 6.7, the CKP is in the bellhousing on left side of the engine. It's underneath a round cover.

Service manual also says:
NOTICE: Do not use magnetic screwdrivers or other magnetic tools around the CKP sensor and the crankshaft sensor pulse
ring or damage to the components may occur.

The CPS is hidden behind the fan. You have to remove radiator, fan, etc to get to it.

Hmm...so, this verifies only what I was worried about. One response says in the tranny bell housing area, and the other behind the fan around the serpentine belt. So, basically back to square one. Just to reiterate, this is a 2017 F350 dually diesel., so 6.7L engine.

I think gashog was thinking of the camshaft position sensor (CMP). For that one the service manual says to remove the cooling fan.
The crankshaft position sensor (CKP) is definitely inside the bell housing.
