I've got 5K miles on my BTS now. Towed maybe 3 times @ 10K lbs. She is a beast of a transmission... Jason mentioned that early on his trans shifted very hard at light throttle and I have that same situation. Generally the 1-2 shift, otherwise just firm. When cold, it shifts smoother than my stock trans. When hot, that 1-2 will get pretty rough. I've adjusted my throttle use just a bit as a result. It's not hard enough for me to call Brian about it, but I am absolutely certain he'd do the same as he did with Jason and send out a new plate or VB or whatever to fix it. He's that kind of guy. I'm convinced that you made the right choice with BTS, Rooster. Be excited, as at least in my experience so far, it's every bit an equal to the hype. (I have not been easy on her, btw).
With regard to the up-pipes, I've used two sets now, one from KC and one from Riff-Raff. They were identical. I experienced some trouble with the seating of the up-pipes to the manifolds that I'd not experienced on my Excursion up-pipe install. I would recommend cleaning the sealing surface of the manifold(s) collector area thoroughly with a scotchbrite pad or some sand paper prior to install. I gained about 1-2 psi of boost pressure by doing so. I cleaned them until the surfaces were nearly shiny. I didn't really see much soot, but I was down to my last possibility for a low / slow boost situation. It helped... I would imagine the chinese pipes are literally a copy of the International pipes, but next time I do a set (If ever), I'm doing the International pipes.
Ok, so I have started gathering my upgrades and have a list of parts I would like you guys to look over for me. My goal is to free up some power to help towing up those mountain passes and get EGT's lower. The BTS trans will ship beginning of next month. So again the truck has 130,000 miles and is stock except for mishimoto trans cooler and a set of guages. I have already acquired an S+B dry intake, 4" straight exhaust, and bellowed up pipes. Bellow is what I am getting ready to order from RiffRaff. Please let me know if I'm missing anything.

1. Downpipe T-Bolt clamp.
2. AIH delete plug. WHY?
3. Plenum reinforcing inserts.
4. CAC intercooler complete boot kit.
5. Intercooler T-bolt set. ARE THESE PREVAILING TORQUE STYLE, WITH SPRINGS?
6. O-ring Combo kit.
7. PHP Hydra tuner.
8. RiffRaff billet compressor wheel. WHY?
9. RiffRaff gtp high flow outlet. WHY?
10. RiffRaff non EBPV pedestal and bolts. WHY?
11. Banks Big Head wastgate actuator.
Did I miss anything? Any reason to leave any of that out?THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I WAS WONDERING. Thanks.

Just something to think about, that straight pipe will get awfully annoying in the future. It might sound cool in the beginning but it does get old after a while ask me how I know. Alot if guys go with a walker btm. I put in a aero turbine muffler but in my opinion it's still too loud. All the other stuff looks pretty good except for the high flow outlet I do not have any experience with that. You could save money on the banks big head wastegate by simply cranking down the wastegate that you havebeing that you're going to have the turbo out anyway just disconnect the wastegate, crank down on the nut and reinstall. If you have a hard time getting the wastegate rod attached to the actual wastegate you can use compressed air to push the rod out

Thank you. I will look up "walker BTM" and think twice about the banks actuator.
I'd recommend tossing in the KC SXE turbine as well since you plan on going with the RR 4+4 billet wheel. You'll get more out of the turbine than the billet wheel EGT wise, but you have to run a billet wheel with that turbine. Plus adding a Hydra may get you some turbo surge without the billet wheel
I delete AIH (and WG) to clean up the engine bay. Neither of these things are needed.
I delete EBPV as PM to prevent a leak there. I DIY for a couple $$$. No reason to spend $100’s on this. In cooooold climates, I will encourage rebuilding the pedestal to maintain EBPV and mitigate chances of leak.
There is no advantage to 4” exhaust over a straight piped or Walker BTM stock exhaust. I honesty think straight piped stock sounds the best. Not nearly as loud/annoying as 4” - even with 4” muffler.

I was thinking the same thing about the EBPV delete. It's not leaking now that I can tell. But since I will be in there I figure delete as preventative maintenance. It is pretty temperate up here. Not too many winter days under freezing. I wont be driving the truck under winter conditions unless a rare need comes up.
I will search out the EBPV mod again. Some welding and plugs is all it was to remove the butterfly correct? I dont have a welder but there is a local shop.
I already have the 4" system. If it's too loud I will sell it cheap and toss the stock back on with the Big truck muffler.

Good luck getting the stock down pipe out in one piece to reuse. If I remember right I had to cut mine to get the stock down pipe out. I'm sure it can be done but may require removing the crossmember to do it.
I agree that a 4" straight pipe sounds best on these trucks. Even while towing for hours it never bothered me.

Have you installed the up pipes yet or are you waiting to do that and all of the stuff you mentioned above at the same time?
I wasnt planning on upgrading the turbo just modifying the stock one. But with all advice on here and the more I read into it an upgrade sounds like a good idea. I have not installed the up pipes yet. I am waiting to get everything together and do it all at once.
