Question Who makes one?

Who makes a good quality 2 core aluminum radiator with 1" core tubes for my '78 F250 460 with A/C?
I have looked until I am very confused {admittedly doesn't take too much info before that happens sometimes!} & exasperated about
what is good quality, & effective. I ask about the 2 core with 1" tubes because in the reading on this forum & other places I think I understand
that to be more effective at cooling than 3 or 4, or even more core radiators as they have less actual surface exposure to lower coolant temp.
Am I misunderstanding things or missing something important in my search.
I am having my 460 rebuilt & don't want to jeporadize {I know spelling!} what I am investing in poor quality replacement as my old rad has a major leak/hole.
Thank you for any further educating you all can give this old dog!

This might not be what you're asking but I tend to be a fan of OEM parts---if it was designed and installed by the factory at time of manufacture they tend to function well over the life of the vehicle---they just seem to be better made than the easily found aftermarket stuff. This of course assumes the vehicle is maintained properly.

If going more exotic is to your liking and fits the budget I don't have much advice to share. I've been there, done that on the super special stuff only to find most times it doesn't make that great an improvement over stock parts.

I have always purchased from US Radiator.....

US Radiator Corporation
4423 District Boulevard
Vernon, California
323-826-0965

When the radiator plastic part began failing on my wifes 97 Cougar Sport (which lasted 17 years with an anode), called them and it's too new of a car and they recommended:

Radiator Express

www.radiatorexpress.com

Irvine, CA
866-723-3977

I was very pleased with the product, it was built exactly to the oem specs. What I liked about this place is when I spoke to their support staff, the person I spoke with had definitely experienced getting their hands dirty on a car.......when I asked questions, I got answers....no hesitation. Whit I also liked is they track installation issues that both mechanics & customers have so when you place your order, they order the brand/mfg that has the least amount of reported issues.
