Just bought a 74 C750. Putting plugs and wires on it now and no clue what the firing order is. Can anyone help with advice or a diagram?
Thanks in advance.
Welcome to ford C series truck ownership. I've got a 1963 C850 myself. I won't second guess others but your best bet is to post a picture of the engine. These trucks were offered with a pretty wide variety of engines over the years. Also there is a thread for a vin decode where you can find out what engine/transmission/axles etc your truck came with.
There are cds available with scans of the old ford parts manuals. They are a bit clunky to work with on a computer but I've figured it out enough to get the right steering column bearing for my 63 without having to pester NumbersDummy (our local Ford part number genius).
Last but not least, Napa is about the only auto parts store (so far) you can look any parts up yourself. When you go to add a vehicle click where it says "Vehicle Type: Auto/light trucks" and change it to medium duty. They can be pretty expensive on some things. I've bought a fair bit of stuff from them, but for the pricier stuff I've gotten their part number then looked up the same part on smaller/newer trucks until I found the same number on something I could look up elsewhere. They wanted $200 for a power steering pump that was $65 everywhere else.
