Help. Electrical Problem
I hope someone can assist in diagnosing the problem. I did search the forum and didn't find a match. 2004 Excursion, 6.8 Triton V10, Eddie Bauer Edition 4x4. Just started a couple of days ago. No changes to brakes, battery, cables, etc. in months. No hard braking or hard acceleration involved. At random times, at low and highway speeds, the ABS light will appear and the AC blower slowed. The ABS light would turn off and the blower would return to normal after a minute or two. Today while driving at low speed, the ABS light appeared and didn't turn off. After a few minutes the headlights started to flicker, the engine started surging, the windows wouldn't work, door locks didn't work, the radio quit but the truck was running at idle. After about 10 minutes, everything returned to normal without me doing anything.
Both the battery and alternator were replaced about 12 months ago and I haven't had any electrical issues until now. My Excursion is garage kept and doesn't sit outside in the weather/heat.

Check your grounds and all your ABS lines for corrosion and if you can't get a diagnostic tool, get a free version of ForScan and do some diagnostics on your modules. Many have suggested the alternator voltage regulator as a culprit.
