What ODB2 scanner or bluetooth dongle and app do people like?
I just purchased a 2018 F450 and have dreaded check engine light. My older ebay scanner shows no codes.
ORielie Auto parts borrowed scanner showed P012F coolant/oil temperature correlation error.
I would like to have a good sytem to do my own diagnostics.
Thanks,
Ed
Depends on how “into the weeds” you are willing to go and how much you want to spend. I carry BlueDriver in the 2019 that connects to an app on my iPhone for routine stuff. If I need to dig deep and find something, I use AutoEnginuity.

I use FORSCAN (Windows) laptop to run diagnostics. It's FREE and can dig up all kinds of stuff on your vehicle. I purchased a USB OBDII dongle with HS/LS CAN toggle switch. You'll need that capability to check all modules. Total out of pocket for me was like $50

Also worthy is Forscan Lite for Android and Torque pro. You can get mode 6 data on the fly and the Forscan lite even allows some service functions along with data logging.
