powered adjusted pedal issues

Hi

I need help with my mom’s 03 f150
my sister took the truck out one day to run errands and when she came back the powered adjusted brake and the gas pedal are on the opposite end. The brake pedal is fully forward towards the driver seat and the gas pedal is all the way back. They both still work but I can’t make the brake pedal go back. I’m a novice diy mechanic Tips and advice is truly appreciated

The two function off one motor.
There is a worm gear and cable drive between the Two.
A fault has occurred in the drive link.
You may be able to get it to link again depending on what the fault is.
Then move to an intermediate level and let it alone. Cut power to the motor if you have to because it's a costly replacement if you can find the parts.
Tell your last driver to let it alone if you leave it active or remove the switch or put a hidden switch in series to prevent its operation..
Sorry but it's not an easy or simple repair and if you can't tackle it yourself.
You can't remove the fuse either because that fuse powers other functions.
Good luck.

Is there a way to back the brake pedal down so it will match the gas pedal?

If the motor runs in the down direction and you can get the drive to engage... Maybe!
Put pressure on the brake pedal when doing it
The motor ran it up without the gas pedal, it may run it back down.
Otherwise, look for some way to take it apart to get the brake down.
Good luck.
