Drip rails?

Drip rails?

I have a 1985 Bronco that has drip rails above the doors how hard is it to take them off and smooth the lines out. Are they just tacked in place or are they actually part of the body???

ross i did the same thing on my 53 f-100. let me to you it was not fun. thats how the top shell and the inner shell are connected. so you have to cut a small amount off clamp it together then weld. and continue the process all the was around very time consuming and tedious. but it does look nice. good luck
