And on the bottom of the cap there is a molded pin (protrusion) that opens the center of the standpipe by pushing it open as the cap is tightened down. On some aftermarket caps that pin isn't of the length to properly open the standpipe.
You are correct. That's where I would start. O.E.M.

Thanks for coming back and posting your results.
How did you figure out it was your ICP sensor?

Guys/ Gals my Motorcraft source quoted me about $61.00 the other day for the Fuel bowl filter .
I used to pay about $45.00?
Motorcraft part number FD - 4596 aka Ford part number F81Z - 9N184- AA
I know others here on FTE are using aftermarket filters and beveled gasket .
Info, links, part numbers would be nice.
Thank you all!

This is what I’m buying now.
I also run a different fuel bowl lid O Ring. There was a thread in the FAQ about it and I’m happy with the results so far.

I was just looking through the tech folder.
Seems the Diesel Fuel Lubricity additive chart may have a mistake?
Note line 4 Opti-Lube Summer blend; ratio shows 3000:1
All the other choices are much smaller ratio?
