I found the other threads relating to this topic and I picked myself up a Monroe kit. Know how to install it but had one question:
Did you guys have to drill out the preexisting holes in the passenger side frame or just get smaller diameter, grade 8 hardware?
I'm worried if I go with smaller diameter bolts there would be slop in the bracket no matter how torqued down the bolts are. Therefore lessening if not nullifying, the effects of the stabilizer altogether?
So ultimately the question is to drill out the frame holes or smaller diameter grade 8 hardware at least through the frame?
Gotta agree with My4Ford on this one. Stabilizers are just a way to make conventional steering feel like rack & pinion. More effort to steer with nothing done to actually improve handling. And the TTB axle is gonna bump-steer in severe off-camber situations no matter what you do to it. But on-road and even at highway speeds its steady as a rock... unless it has something loose, broken or worn out. Not telling you not to install it, but it isn't going to do what you think it will.
