E4OD Head Scratcher

Hi thanks for looking,

I’ve got a 93 bronco 5.8 with an E4OD. Bought it from a gal who said trans was leaking from inspection port. Found plugged trans cooler lines and assumed front pump seal Must’ve gotten hot and let fluid past it. I dropped the trans and replaced both The large O ring style gasket on pump as well as press in input shaft seal on trans pump. After reassembly I fired it up only to find it is still leaking!?

I am very confused as to what could be leaking at this point. TC appears to be in good shape and seals were installed with care. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on here? I really hate pulling these E4OD’s and would like to make sure I know what I need to do before pulling trans for a 2nd time. Could the pump itself be shot? I can still drive this thing and it shifts great surprisingly but it has a pretty decent leak going. Thanks for any advice!

Best,
Henry

I've seen torque converters crack, usually at a stud. If the end of the torque converter where the seal rides has ANY damage it will leak. How did the bushing look? If it's worn a new seal will leak.
