Once again, I need help please.

So I was out under the hood of my X and noticed some weird wiring. Can anyone tell me what these 2 sets of wires are for or where they should lead?

Also can anyone tell me why these holes are in the hatch?

Thanks in advance everyone!!

Excursions and super duty’s have similar wiring. Ford provided the option of adding upfitter switches into the cab. These switches terminated at those 4 loose cables you see allowing for easy add on electricals

The other two wires are LB-YE for the PTO circuit and LG-WT for the tachometer signal. These come right off the PCM and are not pass thru wires.

The set of 4 wires are the customer convenience pass-through wiring. They are there to give you easy access through the firewall for any add on options, the other end of them is under the dash just waiting for you to find a use for them.

The ones you're pointing to are possibly for the under hood light. The holes in the tail gate are just drain holes.

So does that mean I could use those to hook up some after market fog lights?

Thats exactly the sort of thing they are intended for. With those wires you don't have to find a path through the firewall to run the switched control wires to a relay for something like fog lights. Pretty handy to have them there and one of Fords better ideas.
