Does this coolant color look normal?

That definitely looks like a universal coolant, the color does degrade. Is this Prestone universal in there? You see this in coolants with silicates which you don't want to use in a diesel. Were SCA's added to this coolant?

+2, also did you flush the coolant prior doing the coolant in 2019? And added SCA additive? If not flush the cooling system using the steps in the tech folder, and depending on year of your you can do ELC or if its and e99 you could used Fleetcharge as it already has SCA additives added.

You never answered what coolant is in there. If that is in fact Prestone universal it has 2EHA as its essentially a dexcool coolant and that will not play well with SCA's as it will lead to a ton of drop out.

Also for 2002 and 2003 the OEM coolant was gold. Xerex G05 is what I use in my 2002, cheaper and more available. Gold does not need SCAs, no silicate dropout so no filter needed, lasts longer than green. ELC red is pricier but will outlast your water pump. If changing from gold to red you do not need to do an extensive flush, they are compatible. From green to red you need a real good flush with distilled water.
