Sorry if I’m beating a dead horse here but I haven’t really found any other threads talking about this.
I got my truck in February and right away I noticed it wasn’t topped off on tranny fluid, it would slip going into 3rd and 4th gear. Now it seems like it’s getting confused when I’m driving and I hammer on it, 3/4 second delay until I start making some power, it seems like it’s shifting hard and just not making the power it used to 10k miles ago. Going into second gear when it’s cold seems to be shifting hard as well. Is this a programming issue or is it on its way out? Carfax said the trans fluid and filter were replaced at around 100k miles, I have 175k on it now, I don’t tow much and I really don’t beat on it. Any ideas or advice is appreciated.
The first thing to do is disconnect the battery for a few minutes and reset the computer. If it still is doing it and the fluid is clean it will have to be hooked up so it can be scanned because if it's not making power it could be a motor problem or a problem with the shifting solenoids.
