2005 f250 xlt superduty 4x4 6.0l engine. New turbo replaced and fan clutch. Edge attitude tuner. 18”inch lift 37x13.5 22 rims. Fro t suspension help but engine help more important. Lol. Hi I am new to the forums but have learned a lot on here. My fan clutch wires got chopped 2 times. First time chopped in middle on fan side and second time out of fan clutch and I believe the wires pulled from engine harness side. Is there a way to test if wires are good. I’ve replaced the fan clutch and it does not engage at all. Even when temp is hot under the hood does not feel very hot. It could be a relay or sensor but I believe it’s the wires. If anyone knows a way to test it will be helpful. Thanks

Have you checked yout fan speed when engine gets hot?
Ty for responding. The fan is not engaging. I replaced the fan clutch but I think the wires are no good. I did find a site where I can check resistance at each wire. I don’t think the fan clutch is getting any power. So when the wires wrapped around the fan it stalled out instantly. A message popped up on dash but I forgot what it said. I found it popped the pcm fuse.
I just now found relay 107-20amp under dash blown. It’s for the trailer battery charge. Could that have anything to do with the fans power.
No I have not checked but can not hear it coming on and can see it still looks the same. I did drive it to where I changed the fan clutch. It actually only warmed up 1 time on the way there it was unplugged. After install it happened very fast and had to stop a lot to let it cool off. I’m not sure what the temperature was at
ive seen that fan saver clip. I probably should order it since this is the second time. Thanks
also I’ve seen forums on the pigtail but can’t find where to buy it.
Fan Clutch connector - female (clutch side), part # 1U2Z-14S411-AHC (WPT-1045) fits all MY's
Fan Clutch connector - male (engine side), part # 1U2Z-14S411-AKB (WPT-1136) I BELIEVE it fits all MY's (you need to verify it fits your vehicle before purchase)
The part numbers will get you the part at any Ford Dealership. I order through Auto Nation White Bear Lake (on line).
FordPartsGiant is another option. Probably Rock Auto is as well - I haven't looked there.
It’s only showing a code
cooling fan no speed sensor signal. I’m not sure where to look or start. Does anyone know if there’s a relay it runs off of a a way to trace down the sensor. Thanks
Everything is in the clutch itself (ie no separate relay).
Red wire - power from Central Junction Box (CJB) connector C270h (under the dash)
Dark Blue wire - commanded ground from PCM connector C1381c
Brown w/ Pink stripe (BN/PK) - signal return from/to PCM connector C1381c (clutch connector C1158)
Brown w/ Light Green stripe (BN/LG) - VPower from PCM connector C1381c (clutch connector C1158)
Red w/ Orange stripe (RD/OG) - Fan Speed Signal to PCM connector C1381c (clutch connector C1158)
Edit - Note that C1381c is the middle plug of the PCM.
Pic in link below to give more info on PCM connector C1381c (as well as in the attached pdf document).

Thank you very much for all that info. I found it and it’s fixed. 1 wire caused me all this trouble.
Im glad I joined this forum. Great group of people

Let us know which wire. Since the PCM fuse (22) popped, I will guess the Brown w/ Light Green stripe (BN/LG)
When the engine is totally cool (apprx 10-12 hrs of not running), post temperatures for the oil, coolant, transmission fluid, and both inlet air temperatures (IAT1 and IAT2).
Then after the engine has heated up and in drive, post those five temperatures again.
