Does the steering box have an adjustment to take up play? My E350- 1987-7.5 (460) Rv wants to wander. You can't take your eyes off the road for a second. I have had a mechanic look at it and everything is in ok condition. The RV only has 63,000 on it. I know it's a big rig (26 ft ) compared to my E250, and it is top-heavy. Even on a windless day, she has a mind of it's own. How much slop in the steering and how would you go about judging it. What about shocks, still original. It might just be me- but I don't think so. On another note - changed out the lower and upper hoses and put new belts on. Now I need a hot day and a hill to test the power loss problem. Got soaked from the on and off rain. It was a warm rain and it was better than the hot sun we had a few days ago

Nature of the beast. There are all kinds of aftermarket front suspension upgrades that cost a lot but do little. Go to an alignment shop and have them put in a couple more degrees of positive caster.Not the total answer but much better.
