2014 f150, runs perfect, but I went on a trip through the mountains when we had Temps in the 90's, and ever since then I have been having a wine or hum that comes from the engine area. It sounds more like a bearing going out. Could it be the idler pulley bearing? Or is it more likely something?
More than likely it's something (?) associated with the FEAD (Front End Accessory Drive). Lotsa rotating parts there. Open the hood and try to isolate the location (even if if only a general location) of the sound.
HINT/TIP: Put your vehicle information (year, model, cab, trim, engine, wheelbase, _x4 drive, mileage, modifications, etc., etc.) in your signature -OR- provide it in your posting(s).

squirt a few drops of water on the fan belt and see if the noise goes away or changes.. If so, the belt may be worn or the tensioner loosing tension... If the noise continues then test the pulley bearings...
I know earlier idle air control valve motors could whine. They could sometimes be cleaned out with brake cleaner or similar. If not it's an easy replacement.
