Ccv re route

Thinking about doing this to my truck. My cac boots are oily and I randomly get blue smoke out of the truck which I'm assuming is the blow by being put through the turbo. Any negatives to doing this? Watched a youtube video where a ford mechanic pretty much advised against it.

I have wondered if there is a low spot in the tubing and moisture accumulates, in very cold weather, could that tube get blocked if it freezes and not let the crank vent properly?

That is one down side. Also if you live in a state like Commiefornia where they like to stick there big fat nose into you truck.
There are other options to the reroute. One of them is even legal.
Lets start with the one that is not legal. You can weld a bung into the exhaust stream with a angle so that the exhaust gas
help scavenge the blow-by gasses into the exhaust system. The system that is legal has you use a special filter that causes
the oil to be captured by the filter elment without adding a lot of back pressure. You route from the port on the valve cover
down to the filter housing and then out of the filter back up to the port on the air intake at the MAF sensor. The oil is removed
and your only getting the gasses that will be burned and not a load of oil into the CAC system. The filter needs changed
about every 12 months. I have to as of yet get mine installed.

Let me know if you can't use this link to a search I just did.

If that link does not work you can use the links in this PDF of that search.
