I have a 2015 F250 XTL, that I recently purchased, with the AM/FM/CD/SYNC radio. That's this one:
I have tried getting my phone to work as my music player on it, however none of the features to do that seem to work. Pressing the "AUX" button on the radio only switches between SAT radio stations, the AUX and USB ports are seemingly dead(as my phone normally notifies me when a USB device is plugged in, but it does not with this). When I press the phone button it only appears with "no phone" message and then disappears shortly after. The Voice command button on the steering wheel does nothing(no chime or message).
I've tried pulling the fuse and disconnecting the battery to try and reset the systems but to no avail. Some forum posts are saying the SYNC module may have gone bad but I am unsure of where that is located exactly(on my radio that is, because everyone else seems to have this problem on the touch screens) and anything I search up about it online only brings me to videos or posts about upgrading to the touch screen ford radio or updating the SYNC system.
I've been at it for a while now and I can't seem to get anywhere with it. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
I have already tried that, there is no SYNC option under bluetooths devices. I've tried multiple different times after disconnecting the fuse for it and the battery to see if it will 'reset' but there is nowhere for me to pair with the radio.
There are actually several Youtube videos on syncing to Ford radios that do not have the nav screen. I have done it for a while, but as I recall it was very simple to do. I'll see if I can find one. Getting the no phone found response is very common.
My problem is not pairing the phone. My problem is getting SYNC(or the AUX) to function. As I stated I only get a "no phone" message on the radio and nothing else, no SYNC bluetooth ID, no AUX setting for the port. Voice commands don't even work.
The same thing happened to me. I've seen numerous things on the internet and no luck. I downloaded the sync my ride to a flash drive and the sync didn't even recognize that I had plugged in the flash drive. It's an ongoing issue that Ford doesn't seem to care or is unable to help you with unless you go in to the service department and $$$. I'm disappointed in the sync system. I have the exact same issue, when AUX is chosen I get radio and SAT 1,2,3. The flash drive would not link up. ....crickets...

I am having this problem with my 2015. The voice prompts work, but when I try to connect my phone, the radio shows up (14:0D:4F:12:B4:A7) instead of Sync. I'm leary this is going to be like when they dropped the navigation on us after the 3rd year. The hand free calling is the main reason I bought a FORD. I called to schedule with a dealer to have them look at it.

Has there been any solutions to this problem? My 2015 f250 is doing the same thing and didn’t know what the best approach was to get it resolved. Thanks

I am having the same issues with my ‘15 F250 XLT only my satellite radio doesn’t even come up when hitting aux. it’s like it’s a dead switch. I have an appointment with the dealer next week, did you ever get yours into the dealer and figure anything out?
