As most was expected, based MSRP only increased $290 for the XL model, but higher trims to be much more substantial increase. I can *almost* see a $3590 increase for a Platinum with all the new tech, but that widens the already substantial premium from more "working-class" models. A guy like me could never justify $18K more for a Platinum SuperCrew compared to the XLT.
I'm really interested in the hybrid option, though. With all the hype with power output and efficiency, I could almost see an additional $2500 for the hybrid package if fuel economy numbers look as good as they are implying.

Available as an option on all but the base trim and the Raptor, it will cost $2,500 to hop from either the 5.0-liter Coyote V8 or 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 to the 3.5-liter EcoBoost Hybrid V6. It will cost $3,300 to get into the hybrid from the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6, or $4,495 to make the switch from the base 3.3-liter V6.
I love bells and whistles when I can justify the cost, but the upscale trim levels on pickup trucks seem out of this world to me. I always think of how that Platinum is 99% the same as the XLT next to it on the dealer's lot, but costs a full compact car more. I just can't do it.
Of course the unspoken truth here is how the trucks will be price to the end consumer. Incentives are huge in this segment, and almost nobody pays MSRP anymore. That's the bigger piece of the puzzle that we won't see for at least a few months after release.
It may be a couple years before we start seeing great deals again as inventory levels are very low as evidenced by the not so good deals now and recent plant closures.
