Hi and welcome to FTE
I'm not sure who, but they are out there somewhere. Jack Roush built an EFI 600hp Boss engine a few years ago for a SVT project car.
(It ran low 10's in the 1/4 mile with 3.08 gears!!)
The heads were aluminum and had to come from somewhere. If I can locate the article, I will see if it said where they came from.

These guys were working on some 4 valve center fire heads for the 460 although it would need custom intake and exhaust fabrication. I don't think they have anything 460 complete yet.
Tony
Hey Boss429,
Were you wanting stock replacement heads or aftermarket race heads? Some NOS and used heads are still available. I have some sources for those, too.
Thanks guys, for the replys, and I realy appreciate your time.
I will check out the links. and as for what I am looking for I will take what I can get (and afford) original would be great, but after market will definetly work. I'm jonesing for self induced wiplash. When I was in Highschool I was fortunate enough to get hold of a special order 1970 Torino SCJ with a NASCAR Boss 429, Hurst four speed and 430 rearend drag pak.(My buddy's Dad was an engineer at Ford. some perk ,huh?) talk about a sweet ride. If I told you all what happend to it you would be just as P'd as I was back then and still am. If I knew how I would post a pic of the car. Sorry about talking about a car on a truck forum but trucks have bigger CID's. most car forums are small blocks. plus I was referred here from a friend. thanks agian and keep the info flowing. Cheers, George(Boss429)
PS: I own two ford trucks , A'65 fioo w/ 390gt and a broncoII with a sorry 2.9
Hey, It's OK. I had a 71 Torino GT with a 351CJ. It had the rear window louvers, buckets, console, rim blow wheel, Floor shifted C6 and a 3.70 9" with a driveshaft bigger around than my trucks. I should have never sold it.
Jimmy
I left this one at my friends house when I moved to florida and when I went back to get it and all of my other stuff 3 months later, His drunk of a father had sold it for parts. What a stupid M&^*^*^*R. I have been looking for it since. I'm getting close. After all it is conciderd stolen. wish me luck. but untill then I need some speed. Thanks again, George(Boss 429)
quote "special order 1970 Torino SCJ with a NASCAR Boss 429, Hurst four speed and 430 rearend drag pak."
Hurst four speed? Sure it wasnt just the shifter... trans would be a Toploader or BORGE-WARNER T-10
AND IT WOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED A SCJ... JUST A NASCAR BOSS 429.
KAR KRAFT WOULD HAVE INSTALLED THE ENGINE AND TRANS , NOT FORD. here's the production figures...
1969 859 mustangs (Includes 2 Boss 429 Cougars)
1970 499 mustangs
absolutely no Torinos for 69 or 70. (sorry)
I'D SAY IT WOULD BE WORTH A COOL 1/2 MILLION "IF" IT DID EXIST... THAT WOULD BE 1 OF ONLY 1 EVER BUILT.

I take offence to your statement, but call me a lier if you will. I couldn't care less if you believe me or not . I know it existed because I owned it. and bought it from the original owner that had it built. Just because YOU don't have any documentation on it's existance doesn't mean squat to the rest of the world. not every car built by every manufacturer is necessarily documented. the original owner worked for ford as an engineer of some sort. I work as a design engineer in the marine industry and have personaly work on some pretty hairy custom built production boats for companies like Fountain Powerboats that have no documentation but do indeed exist from the factory. Your statement is unfounded unless you are omnipotent. And unless you realy are omnipotent I believe it is the policy of this board to keep your missinformed beligerant statements to yourself.
Cheers, Bos429
PS: I suppose they never built a 1968 Couger GTE with a SOHC 427 tunnel port with twin Holly 625's either.
