I changed the plugs on the truck yesterday and I am concerned with what I found. My thought is blown head gasket, but I'm not sure. All four plugs on the driver's side have a build up on them while the passenger side looked like your typical worn out plugs. The part that makes me think head gasket is the coolant was about a 1/2 gallon low. Are there other causes that would make the plugs on one cylinder head all have a build up while the other bank looks fine? Thanks all.
There are lots of places coolant could leak out and to me those deposits look more like EGR or PVC deposits or maybe a bit of both. What holes were the two worst looking plugs from.. the rear cylinders right where the PCV is attached?
