The charging/battery light is on in my 90 F-250 4x4 460/C6. I’ve checked the charging and it’s charging at 14.2-14.4v, all of the connections to the battery and solenoid are good. It seems like the battery is charging just fine, the battery is good as it sat for 4 weeks during this covid crap and it cranked right up. Any hidden item that could cause the battery/charging light to come on?
Thanks in advance!
check all your battery connections, you can find, do you also have gauge in truck, does it drop in voltage reading when truck under a load, alternator could be going bad

New alternator (less than 1000 miles) but I know new alternators could be bad. No drop in voltage on the gauge at all, whether at idle or full throttle/load.
This truck as some strange wiring issues, when it gets wet under the hood, the parking lights will come on automatically and not shut off until it gets dry. I’m really wanting to gut the wiring and put in an aftermarket kit.
