Has anyone had an issue with Trailer Brake Controller giving a Fault message? My 2019 F350 is just a week old and giving this message as I heading out with my RV on a vacation. Replaced 7 prong plug on my RV and checked full wiring harness on trailer. I am fully connected and everything from lights, brake lights, signal worked but the Electric Break has a Fault message and No Electric Brakes. I took my truck to a friends house and got the same message when I hooked up to his RV. NO VACATION FOR ME, WEEK ONE WITH MY NEW FORD. Worked great on my Tundra for the last there years.... UGH!
I did the same. If it was a connector, I greased it. Front bumper to rear bumper. Now that the tailgate field service action (was it a recall?) has been completed I need to get under there and check to see if the new connectors need to be greased.
Dont know about the tailgate, mine only locks and unlocks, no auto open.
never hurts to check it though. Had less then 1000 miles when I did mine. Hoping to prevent future troubles
