I am very excited to take delivery of my new 2020 F350 next week. I bought the XLT model which has the horrible headlights. I have searched for LED bulb replacements to see what you guys recommend but I haven't really seen anything on the forums. Please safe the you should have bought a higher trim truck with factory LED or you shouldn't replace halogen bulbs with LED bulb because of glare comments. I currently have diode dynamics LED bulbs all around in my f150. They claim they were made specifically to work with the factory reflectors and not produce excessive glare. They are very bright but I have never been flashed. I am looking for the same result here. I saw that F150LEDs has a set for the superduty -I just want to make sure they work with the 2020 (says so) and looking for anybody who has done this. I have also saw that its a total pain to replace bulbs and people are taking off the grill and removing the headlights. I opted for the diesel so I figure that there is not much room to reach in an swap them out. I miss those days. Please let me know what experience you have.
The overwhelming favorite on FTE is Beamtech. There are about at least a dozen threads on it but this is the original and probably the only one you need to read
I have a '19 XLT, I followed the herd and switched to Beamtech, huge improvement for very little money, very happy, easy to do, I have a 6.2 gas so I had no need to remove the grill.
Read the thread above.
If you still want more to read search Beamtech instead of LED.
Loads and loads (and loads) of posts about the LED conversion of the crappy (pretty embarrassing actually) factory headlights.

Since you went with Diode Dynamics on your F150 and you were happy, why not just use the same brand on your SD.
Regardless of what you’ve read, aftermarket LED bulbs are not made for halogen housings and vendors will say anything to sell said LED bulbs.
Ask yourself this, why don’t OEM vehicle manufacturers offer LED headlight bulb replacements but at the same time, they offer halogen bulb replacements.

Two different housings.
They ought to make you sign an affidavit stating you will not install these bulbs in stock housings. But, some people don't care. Some people fart in elevators, don't flush after dropping a deuce, use the last paper towel and leave the roll.....
I put the Beamtechs on my '20. The pattern on mine is almost identical to stock, once adjusted.
Same
I put Beamtechs in my '19 about 7 days after it arrived home from the dealership, light is 100% better than the horrible stock lights and I have not been flashed once by an oncoming driver.
Pattern is as good as stock, just now I can see.
Ignore the LED swap doomsayers.
I had the Beamtechs for about 3 months, Housings developed moisture and I wasn't too keen on the blueish color. I think they're 6500k. In the end I went with Morimoto LED headlights. I get compliments almost weekly on them. Little pricey though.

Alas, a man of class. Aftermarket LED's done right.
I don't always swap my factory halogens for LED's, but when I do I use Moromito's.
GARBAR: I would go with them in a heartbeat, but I am not seeing low and high beams from them. As for the rest of your comment, look I have to agree with you the majority of the time, however theres a big difference between 30 dollar bulbs and diodes bulbs that are a few hundred dollars, and in my experience I never had anyone flash me that they were too bright or the glare was too much so I will have to disagree with you. With that all being said I would love something that is super bright. The diodes were substantially brighter than the stock ford led in my platinum. The point of my post was to get a feel for what the 2020 superduty guys are doing and I've heard that swapping out bulbs is a really process (and I thought the f150 was a pain going through the liners in the wheel wells).
Beamtech guys, It seems like you like these so far. Any problems with them holding up in extreme cold / heat. Problems like flickering ... I normally spend a bit more but for the price I think Ill give them a shot. I just want to avoid those cheap looking leds if you know what i mean
I too went with the morimoto's, since covid, have not had a chance to drive at night since when I do work I do not go in as early, but you can definitely tell at dusk that they will be brighter. I can actually see I have headlights on at that time, where before with halogens you could not tell they were even on...

Pardon me for going off-topic, it's the ADD thing, but what kind of flooring is that? Do you like? Looks good. Nice headlights, BTW.
