Egr question

Hey guys I’m back. Iv got an egr question. I’d like to get rid of all the egr and smog pump to clean my engine bay up and make space. I know how to do it all I believe. I need a block off plate for the top of the intake, buy a egr delete solenoid plug, plug the hole on the manifold, take the pipes off the back of the heads and plug them with a 1” long 5/8 tbi, the smog pipe the goes into the exhaust by the cat is already cut and plugged off, put 75 ohm resistors in the three electrical components plugging into the solenoids, take off the smog pump and pulley, and get a shorter belt. ( please let me know if I’m forgetting something)

My first question: what do I do with the hose that comes from the fuel evap can by the radiator that goes to the solenoid that connects to the throttle body.

My second question: is this even okay to do in general? I know keeping it helps clean the top end and Iv seen a lot of video of people doing it and Iv also read a lot about it and people say it doesn’t add horse power, and some complained about a ping after doing this. I’m my opinion, if it’s not going to hurt anything, I’d like to do it to make tune ups easier and just makes it more appealing to eye. Thanks for all answers.

Check out my thread. I did this. Infact there are reasons to go aftermarket on the cat. They are in the thread as well as the belt length etc. I did not feel any power upgrades. I will be removing most of my vacuum lines this weekend and when I pull the intake for the cam I'll take off the egr valve and block off the theaded whole.

Is it OK? Who knows. I have headers etc. I also have an aftermarket cat.

I wasted $25 on one of the EGR eliminators. Still threw codes but may be because I am using a mustang computer.

So I've heard that. Mine doesn't through any CEL for the EGR. But I've heard others that do as well. Who knows?
