Help, VIN isn't right?
So I've been researching parts/repair for a truck that I was told is a 71 F100 4WD, but as I dig deeper it seems like it may be a 250... Per the VIN it has a 360 in it, it has a 390 sticker on the valve cover, so I know it's a 360/390. My issue is finding parts for the manual steering, the F100 steering box shows a tall thin structure, whereas the 250 shows the flatter, shorter one

. I will try to attach pictures to maybe get some help. Every part with a grease fitting, I need to replace, I just need help finding out what exactly those parts are. I have rebuilt engines before, but have little experience with steering/suspension.
Other clues show a coil spring front axle, an open knuckle Dana 44 and crossover steering. Seems to be all correct for a F-100.
Now as for the engine, who knows what’s in there. Determine if it is a FE block. If so, odds are it is a 360, but could be 352 or 390. Measure stroke using a dowel or straw. 3.5” stroke is a 352 or 360. 3.75” stroke could be a 390. People put stickers on stuff all the time, so don’t rely on that.
