Looks like a three speed with over drive. Trucks in this vintage came with them. You would need to get a few electrical components such as a kickdown switch that goes under the gas pedal, relay, and governor. That solenoid hanging off the side of it would probably need going through as well. In addition you would need to have manual control handle that actuates a cable to engage it. Quite few pieces needed but if you can pick it up cheap it would be worth keeping even if you don't install it. They are not makin'em anymore! I drove a 51 ****** station wagon with the family in it for a 600 mile trip years ago. It had a 4 cylinder and a three speed overdrive. It was a blast to drive!
I took one out of a 60 truck with a 223. I got the truck from the original owner who said he bought it that way. Mine also had that spot for a cross member but didn't. Here is a pic of the day I got it.
Thanks for the info guys. So all in all it seams like going from a floor shift 4-speed T98 to this R10F sounds like a lot of work. If i really want overdrive I am feeling like if I spent some extra money and had my bell housing modified then a T5 might be a better choice.

Tou would have to use one of the aftermarket 3 speed floor shifters if you do not want to go to a column shift and add all the ancillary electrical for the overdrive.
I'm pretty sure the LD transmissions including the O/D need a different bellhousing to the 4-speed. Also, those O/D transmissions were used by various makes, so there are different input shaft splines and sizes, which could mean some futzing with throwout bearing, clutch disc, and maybe pilot bearing, plus you'll need to chop a driveshaft to fit.
The light-duty transmissions are more breakable than the 4 speed, and they don't have that granny low 1st gear, something I've wished I had in my '57 panel more than once when encountering a steep hill with a full load. Now, if I read the Ford Truck Parts catalog correctly, the bellhousing you have should fit a Clark 250 5-speed transmission.
