I am starting to see some signs that my oil cooler is leaking oil. I have a 2000 f350 CCLB with about 275K miles. I’m hoping to wait until the weather cools a little to do the work on it but just trying to get a gameplan together. Is it recommended to replace the cooler and the o-rings/gaskets? Or can you just get away with just o-rings/gaskets? And if I do need to replace the cooler, has anyone had good results with an aftermarket part or is everyone using the ford part. I haven’t noticed any oil in my degas bottle nor have I seen any coolant in my oil changes if that has any relevance. Thanks for any insight you can provide

you should be fine to reuse your oil cooler and just replace gaskets/orings as long as your cooler isn't in really bad shape. Its best to make sure to clean surfaces where o rings/gaskets are really good to ensure proper sealing. Mine is leaking on my f350 and will be doing this soon as well. I did the cooler on my f450 and it was a pita, although alot of folks on here say its not to bad.... make sure you get the oem orings, i got some from a Ford dealer on ebay
I replaced my cooler and orings a year ago with dorman. Within 4 months it was leaking again. Finally 2 weeks ago replaced the orings with motorcraft from Riffraff. No leaks so far and hopefully stays that way.
Oh, and the first time around I watched YouTube videos of guys leaving the front mount attached and just removing the rear mount. Didn't go so well for me, lost a front orings up where I couldn't see while reinstalling. That led to an extensive (expensive) period of flushing the oil and cooling systems. After that I removed both ends and assembled the whole thing on the workbench, which worked much better.
