This will be a quick summary thread. I actually built the setup back in 2014 and added to it over the years such as big injectors, fuel system, etc. I started with a M122 blower off of a GT500 but quickly upgraded to a VMP tuning 2.3L TVS roots. One belt drives the entire show. I added the upgraded tensioner, a SD water pump pulley, and custom brackets to relocate the alternator to the driver side. The blower feeds a 6.0 intercooler and the outlet feeds a S369sxe with 1.0 turbine housing. There is a one way bypass at the turbo inlet. Once the turbo is spooled and is pulling more air than the blower can move it sucks open the one way butterfly valve. This creates a 0 pressure differential from blower inlet to outlet. Thus unloading the blower and not robbing any power. I hand built a set of B code injectors and added 200% nozzles. The B codes were split shots but I TIG welded the spill ports on the barrels shut to convert them to a single shot injector. The fuel system is a cobbled together setup with CAT filters, a SD pump, and an aeromotive regulator. Hpop os a Dynoproven Honey Badger SR to keep the oil hungry B codes happy. PCM sports a Hydra with my tuning. I've spent alot of street time dialing in the truck. Truck is a F250 4x4 ZF5 truck 3.55s. Engine has no studs, springs, pushrods and is over 300K miles. Clutch is a Valair Cermaic Single.
It was worth it to me. The truck is mostly retired now. I bought a 2020 F450 so I haven't even driven the 250 since last year. It's loaded up for a dump run currently and my only other plans is to tow it to the cabin property to have some offroad fun.
As I had never got to the point of springs or studs I ran a 1.0 turbine housing for a reason to reduce drive pressure and all tuning I have done is such to keep cylinder pressure low to reduce risks of blowing a gasket.
Just to add some pictures of the SXE install. I used a IDI performance T4 bellowed up pipe and mount kit. I fabricated the down pipe. In the last picture you can see the bypass before the turbo. The blower was removed during that picture.
