Blower?

Stupid question, but can you run a supercharger in stead of a turbo? I have just never heard of it being done.

I see. Finding the right supercharger would be the big issue.

people have before. I saw an IDI with a blower (link above), and I've heard about a few with belt driven supers. Supers take power to be driven, so higher fuel consumption is a result. No lag though compared to a turbo.

I'd super for dragging and stick to turbos for efficiency IMO. some even toy with the thought of both
